Here is my second picture that I did from Dina Wakely's class  I am still not sure this is my type of journaling with all the scribbling but it is starting to grow on me.

I am taking an online class with Dina Wakely, I am  not sure this is my style, The faces
come out good but then there is a lot of scribbling going on.  It's my first try, maybe it will
get better.

Here I am at the Half Hollow Hills Library Gallery with all of my
collages.  The will stay in there for the month of March.  What an
exciting feeling to see all of my artwork up on these walls

Monday, March 2, 2015

Well here is another dream come true.  Saturday, March 7, 2015, my collages will be in
the Half Hollow Hills Library in Dix Hills, NY.  They have a gallery and are putting
them in.  I am excited about this and I hope people enjoy looking at them as they are
all different and yet almost the same theme.  I mostly work in Victorian and Steampunk
media.

I am waiting for my biggest dream to come true and another thing off of my bucket list,
my own solo show at an art gallery which may happen this summer.  I am waiting to
hear if I will be accepted to do this show.  There will be an opening and all my work
will be in there, plus more than what I have now!

If they don't accept me, I still won't be disappointed because at least I am getting out
there and people are actually seeing what I can do.

I hope there is a nice turnout for the library, but more so for the one at the gallery
if they accept me!!!  Fingers crossed

I am applying for a DT position at Graphic 45
The title of my blog post is "Graphic 45 Design Team Audition 2015"
It's been a while again since I have blogged .  I have been working so much on all my collages for the Library and the Gallery.  I am going to post the pictures for you to view:

Here we have The Veil, It is an old time Vintage Wedding Collage with emphasis on the veil.

Here we have A Stitch In Time, an old time sewing collage

This is Lady In blue

Here is Lady Amid Flowers

This one is precious to me called Child O' Mine

I love anything vintage and Victorian so this is called Tea Party

One of my absolute favorites since I am so in love with Paris
This is titled The Old Days Of Paris

This one I made in a class at Art-Is-You in Connecticut
My first try at a collage and I call her Back To The Future

Another favorite of mine, since I love the beach
This one is called By The Sea

I have also done my share of Steampunk jewelry and these
are some belt buckles I made for my husband

Here is a collage and if you look closely, you can see all the Steampunk
jewelry I have made and put into a collage titled The Art Of Steampunk

Here we have the Ice Queen

For a little something different, here we have a bra that I designed
for Adelphi University for their campaign for Creative Cups which
is a silent auction of handmade bras.   The front
and back had to be completely covered and decorated
All the proceeds got to Breast Cancer and the artists get
into a coffee-table book.
I have done this twice before, this time I did a Victorian
Steampunk bra

Here is a Victorian/Steampunk piece I call Sweet Lady

The Princess, a beautiful piece for a little girl's room.  It adorns a little glove with a flower on it, a purse with a hankie coming out of it, a picture of a little girl with wings and a rhinestone necklace.  The majority of this piece has glitter and glitz all over it.

Don't Quit Your Day Dream

Here I am again with some more exciting news  I am happy to say that I made the Design
Team for Canvas Corp Brands.  I made my first project and am awaiting instructions for
more projects to be made.  The first project was supposed to reflect who we are as an artist.
I think the saying on this piece says it all.  There will be plenty more projects to come so stay tuned!

Gallery Showing

Well my cousins and Joseph and Joe and my friends came to the closing reception of my Art Gallery showing.  Unfortunately I didn't get a ribbon nor did I sell my piece, but hey, at least it got into a big gallery.  I am hoping that in April I will hear from The Huntington Arts Council about having a
one-artist showing of my work.  That will be really exciting.  I am also applying for a showing at
the Art League again this Spring and will put some pieces in again.

In March, I will have my showing at the Half-Hollow Hills Library in Dix Hills and will fill
up the walls with just my artwork.  21 pieces WHEW!

My biggest dream is to get into Somerset Studio, I submitted a photo of a piece that I did
and haven't heard back yet.  I know they say no news is good news, but it sure would be
nice to hear back from them to see if I made it.

Stay tuned for more information to come about my one-artist showings!!
